My Aunt got a (practically) free BMW 4 series because her 3 series kept breaking. The 3 series actually had to have 3, yeah that's right 3, engine replacements, so BMW said screw it and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

She just sent me pictures of it today (she got it either yesterday or the day before), and although I was hoping for the darker blue color, I dig it. It in fact is a 435i Xdrive Sport with a manual. I checked. My aunt will only drive manual, so she's pretty cool like that.

For a guy, yes.
But do you think it's a bad color for a female owner?
I think it gives the car a nice feminine feel to it. Which is A-OK for aunts.
And I wouldn't see a problem with a guy liking it either. Color preference is a very personal thing. It's not purely a feminine color. It also could be seen as understated and classy. Captain Slow probably would get a BMW in this color.

Brown gives off the same vibe but looks nicer!

I'm not a fan of brown
Shhhh don't tell anyone. I'll lose my Jalop card!

*gasp*
(whispering voice)...same here for most cars

I actually quite like the color. In reality, that is, it says, "I'm just a rich Asian driving my Bimmer... badly but legally." And cops don't look twice.

Was that racist?
Am I a racist if I'm not sure what's racist?
I'm so glad my daughter is beige.

This way you can use her as an excuse if it is racist.

So wait a minute... If the car had three separate engines go bad, that leaves only one thing constant and that's your Aunt. What the hecks goin on round here?

The debris in the oil cooler caused it. The dealer never replaced the oil cooler because they are geniuses.

Ah the beautiful undisturbed front of a car that doesn't have a license plate or mount on it. Rare sight here in NY.
Also, I really like that blue. There's something awesome about it. Post a pic of it in the daylight!

I think she'll have to put a plate on it soon, she's in Ohio. Also, I'll try to get more pics.

did they get the atlantis blue wrong?

I kinda like that color, but now I'm scared for my car. I bought an aftermarket larger oil cooler and it had aluminum shavings in it when I received it from the factory tapping the holes for the oil line fittings. I got out as many as I could with compressed air, but I wonder how many where still wedged in there.

Ahhh, that makes sense then. Other than that, I was gonna have to ask if they were intentional grenades.

While everyone is bitching about the color, I'm going to take another angle:
Is your aunt hot? And where in NY does she live?

Might want to get that checked dude
![]() 02/11/2014 at 20:54 |

If she's in Ohio she will have to have a plate on the front.

You're no fun.

Maybe because of football but other than that, I'd say no. My aunt lives just south of Cleveland, where I used to live. It's terrible lmao.

I've been to Knoxville. I've partied in Knoxville. I got extremely intoxicated in Knoxville.
Knoxville is indeed fun.

I like it here. But being in the valley is terrible for air quality and also terrible for snow (as in, no snow). But luckily tomorrow we're supposed to get at least 3 inches so school's out! More snow donuts for me.

I pay to visit snow in Colorado. It is very pretty to see, and very fun to play in (read: to ski on). I do not, however, like to see it in my own yard. It means that it's cold outside, and I do NOT like cold weather if I'm not paying for it.
This is Houston. 100 degrees/80% humidity, tornados, hurricanes, floods = perfectly acceptable. Below 40 degrees = BULLSH*T.
![]() 02/11/2014 at 22:18 |

As long as there's no wind, I'm fine. I don't care if it's 70 outside, if there's a lot of wind it gets chilly.
![]() 02/11/2014 at 22:20 |
|
That's been the problem with the past few cold snaps here. Around 32 degrees with a steady 15 mph wind. NOT COOL.

I live SE of Cleveland. It sucks here too.
